Originally released in 1972. There are essentially two types of release for this album - one being the release for USA & Canada as a promo for clubs that does not have a cover, while the other is a very limited release in France with this cover. This release was distributed by Sam Fox Editions.
Not long after Jean-Michel Jarre signed up with Disques Motors (or Disques Dreyfus as they are now known) in 1971, Francis Dreyfus received a request to produce some music to be used in airports and libraries in North America and Canada. Francis asked Jean-Michel if he could compose some very short pieces for this album - and so Deserted Palace was born, which was to be Jean Michel Jarre's actual first album, prior to Oxygene. This album was a real flop, critics even said that it was not music but noise. This is a very rare item though. Instruments used: - Farfisa Compact Duo Organ - EMS "Synthi" AKS - EMS VCS3
