Adamson's first full-length album is still unequivocally his best. Elements of rock, voices from news reports, blood-curdling wordless female vocals (courtesy of experimental/punk diva Diamanda Galas), lounge keyboards, and swirling funereal ambient music are interwoven on this taut and compelling, almost continuous imaginary "soundtrack." The result is a sinister and edgy soundscape that's as gripping as any black-and-white thriller. The CD adds three bonus cuts, including Adamson's updates of "The Man With The Golden Arm" and "Alfred Hitchcock Presents."

The debut solo release of Barry Adamson, former bassist of Magazine, Visage and Nick Cave &
The Bad Seeds. Entirely instrumental, intended to be the soundtrack to a film that was never
made and most likely he best ever effort.
