Alec Verny-great obscure Russian-American vocalist--Collection
Try to imagine a Russian vocalist who sounds like Tom Waits, but with the
power and vocal range of Eric Burdon on steroids. Now imagine this
singer doing a mixture of Rock, Russian cabaret, and gypsy music.
This is the mysterious Alec Verny, who is very elusive to track through
the internet. I believe he is the "Alec Tchaikovsky" of the "Tchaikovsky
Brothers," who have a vague website, and who perform in New York City.
Unfortunately, the Tchaikovsky incarnation of Alec is kind of Alec In
Chains, and the duo lacks the kind of wild abandon you will find in these
tracks.
This is one awesome vocalist.
These tracks originated on the old MP3.com, before the RIAA terrorists
bombed the site.
