AMG REVIEW: Camera Obscura's Biggest Bluest Hi-Fi is a satisfying enough showcase for proficient Glaswegian twee indie rock. Unlike similar bands like Fonda and Trembling Blue Stars, the sextet is closer to Gram Parsons than Gentle Waves, sliding light strums and fey female vocals into a comfortably warm afghan of sullen country-pop. Leadoff single "Eigthies Fan" builds to an endearingly gloomy climax of pianos and twinkly strings which is really quite effective, and the band orchestrates it with real heart, even if the album could never top it. -- Dean Carlson
